Halloween Fun

Saturday night, one of C's friends hosted a Halloween Party at her house.  As soon as we got there, C took off with her friend Lucie and they played hard for the next 3 hours.

There were Halloween games,

hayrides,

and marshmallow roasting.

They also decorated pumpkins and had a Silly string fight.

It was such a fun little night with C's friends and she was devastated that we had to go home.  I'm pretty sure these little girls are going to try and convince us they need a Halloween party every year and I can't say I blame them.  :)

Staycation #2

Last week B and I took a few days off to get in one last hurrah before the holiday season kicks in and the new baby arrives.

We kicked staycation #2 off right on Tuesday night with a late night trip to Sonic for milkshakes.

Wednesday, after spending 4 hours at the doctors office for various appointments, we hit the park to run off some energy.

Later that night, C painted her pumpkins.

Thursday, we were going to go to the zoo but mother nature had other plans.  So we did the next best thing...bowling!

C was one happy little girl.

After bowling she requested Chuck E Cheese.

Friday was spent getting hair cuts, running errands and getting the house ready for a little visitor.

We had a sleepover with one of B's friend's baby.  C was in complete heaven and could not get enough of baby Emma.  She helped feed her, change her and even got her to go to sleep.

She told me the trick was to pat her back.  Ha.  C was so devastated when Emma left to go back home.  She couldn't understand why she couldn't live with us.  She has asked everyday for Emma to come back.  :)

To get her mind off Emma, we went to Barnes and Noble.  We just happened to come in right before story and craft time.

And of course we couldn't leave without a cookie.

The rest of our staycation was spent relaxing and getting the nursery in shape.  B finally got it painted so I'm in decorating mode.  It now is starting to look like a nursery and not a storage unit.

Frozen

Saturday morning, C woke up to a HUGE surprise!  I finally got to tell her we were going to see Frozen on Ice with her dance friends.  Us mama's arranged this back in the Spring and I've kept the secret this whole time.

I told her after her bath Saturday morning to go pick something out to wear.  She opened her closet to find an Elsa costume hanging front and center.  She was SOOO adorable.  She stopped and said, 'Mama, there is something hanging in my closet.'  I told her our plans and she immediately ran over to hug me.  Cutest moment EVER!

Modeling her new outfit.

Later, we met up with the rest of our crew and headed down to Nashville.

Our car load.

We ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory before the show.

Then did a quick wardrobe change and headed to the show.

C was beyond excited about the whole thing.

She flipped her lid when Mickey, Minnie and some of the Disney princesses came out on the ice.

Oh and when Elsa and Anna came out, she was done for.

We had amazing seats and C sang and danced her little heart out.

Naturally, she has asked me 4 million times when we can go back.

We had such a good time with everyone and we only had meltdowns after the show but it was a long day for the girls.

Our whole crew.
