You Love Deals

A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon You Love Deals through another blog.  They offer 4 items for an extended period of time at a ridiculously low price.  At the time, I was looking for a bag that could be a purse/diaper combo.  I'm a big purse person so lugging around a huge purse stuffed with crap I really don't need, a diaper bag and a 30 lbs toddler gets heavy at times.  So when this little beauty popped up on You Love Deals, I ordered it.

It has 2 large compartments (one for C and one for me), a zipper compartment in the middle and pockets on the inside for cell phone and other important small items.  I took it on our little outing Sunday and it worked great as a purse/diaper bag.  I was able put a few diapers, wipes, sippy cup, a few snacks, my camera, wallet, phone, keys and a few other small items in there.  It wasn't heavy and I LOVED not carrying 2 bags.  The best part...it was only 30 bucks and that includes the $2 shipping they charged! My only complaint is on the site the colors faded from dark grey to white, opposite of this one.  Even though I still like the purse, I wished they had said the colors could vary.

Oh and lets talk about their speedy service.  I placed my order around 2pm on Monday afternoon and the package was at my door Wednesday at 5!  I have NEVER received anything that fast.  Congratulations, You Love Deals, you just gained a new customer!

Look at the new deal that was posted today...

Zebra_clutch

How cute is this little clutch!  I'm trying to rationalize why I would need this.  Because it's cute doesn't seem like a good enough answer when I have a storage box full of them!

There's Never-ever-ever-ever-ever...

been a show like Veggie Tales!

Yesterday, my mom and I loaded up Cecilia and headed to Nashville to see Veggie Tales Live.  I am HUGE Veggie Tales fan (probably more than I should admit at 29) and Cecilia has finally started liking their movies so Mom got us tickets to go see them live.

The show was at one of the colleges and their campus was in full bloom.

I tried to get a few shots of C with the flowers but she was more interested in the dad next to us doing flips so his kids would smile for their pictures so this is all I got.

We arrived early to enjoy some of the fun activities they had going before the show.

They had a DJ there so someone got her groove on.  She is so hilarious to watch dance and not ashamed to busta move.

Again distracted by all the people.

We think Cecilia really enjoyed the show.  She sat and watched the whole thing without making a peep.

The show was pretty cute (a little corny at times) but Cecilia really seemed to enjoy seeing Bob and Larry in person.

Especially Bob.  For some reason he is her favorite.  I'm more of a Larry girl myself.

We had a fun girls day out and look forward to more in the years to come.

Ended With A Big Bang!

Tuesday was Cecilia's 2nd birthday and even though we had a party on Saturday, we still couldn't let the day go by without celebrating.

We had my parents over for dinner, cake and presents.

Is this cake not the cutest?!  Brent has a co-worker who makes cakes on the side so we asked if she would make one for us.  I gave her a picture and she did just what I asked.  Not only did it look cute but the cake itself was to die for.  Like melt in your mouth good.

After cake, it was time for presents.  My brother and sister in law had sent C a gift so we Skyped with them so they could watch her open it.

C checking out who was talking to her.

She got a few more Minnie things (seriously you can't walk into her room without bumping into something Minnie!) and some fun toys to play outside with.

It was a full day of celebrating at school and home and we finished the night with waking up at 1:01 am to a SCREAMING, BURNING up unhappy little girl.  Doctor confirmed yesterday that she has the flu!  So glad we got that flu shot.  NOT!  They are SO overrated.

We have no idea where she got it but we spent all day laying around snuggling watching movies.  She seemed to feeling better last night so hopefully she will have a better day today.

Potty Update

How we really feel about the whole potty training/big girl panties...

We're just not feelin' it.

(Please note the irony of her toting around her potty book as if she has really been studying it.)

We Celebrated

Tomorrow is a big day for us.  Our baby Cecilia turns 2 and to commemorate, we threw her a birthday party on Saturday.  Minnie Mouse style of course.

Minnie was everywhere.

Red white polka dots where everywhere.

My mom made the 3 below wreaths which turned out great!  I LOVED the Minnie head.  I tried to convince them to keep it up all the time.

The birthday girl looking oh so very happy.  NOT!  Nap was cut WAY too short and she wasn't too happy at the beginning but quickly got over it.  (Not sure why her bow is in the center of her head?)

She received a ton of Minnie Mouse toys and accessories.  Who know there was so much Minnie stuff.

The house was full but that's a good thing.  That means I have one very loved little girl.

And no party is complete without a cupcake..

We've had several this weekend!
The party turned out just the way I had planned.  We had lots of fun and it was such a nice day out.

A HUGE thanks to my parents who once again allowed me to have the party at their house and for all their help.  I am a hard woman to please and I'm a little lot bossy but luckily they don't hold it against me.  Of course, how could they?  They raised me.  :)

Hello Sunshine!

We've been taking full advantage of this warm weather this week.  We've gone on walks and played outside everyday.

I had weeds to pull one day and instead of playing with the toys I had brought outside, Cecilia chose to play in the mulch with the rocks.

When they go outside at school, she is typically covered in mulch because she prefers to play with that over all the fun toys.

And an outside trip couldn't be complete without sidewalk chalk.

Mickey had to be drawn of course!

A sign of a good artist...

or a good eraser.  I think she smeared everything we had drawn.

Looks like this weather will continue all week and through the weekend.  Which is just what I prayed for for her party on Saturday.

Mimis Ain't the Only One

We've had a breakthrough here at the Miller household.  This weekend we had a game changer and Mimis wasn't the only one using the potty.

That's right, Cecilia overcame her fear of the potty and has been sitting on it all weekend!  Her daddy even got her to actually pee in it tonight!

Her problem...she didn't like the cushioned seat.  She took it off the other night and it hasn't been back on since.  Looks like she may not be going to college in diapers!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Learning our colors with play-doh.

Finishing up last mintue birthday craft projects with Mom.

Trying to style Mr. Potato Head.

Baking "Mimis" cookies that have somehow all disappeared already!

Nothing really exciting over in Millertown but a busy week ahead gearing up for a little someone's birthday party!  Then I can get rid of all the Mimis!  Girlfriend has GOT to go!

Sprinkle for Sam & Sadie

Saturday morning, I. along with several other girls, got together to throw Jaclyn a sprinkle before Sam and Sadie's arrival.

I loved how everything turned out and Raggedy Ann and Andy was the perfect theme for boy/girl twins.

Jaclyn walked away with just about everything she needs for Sam and Sadie.  Well except for another set of hands, but she has plenty of us who will be more than willing to love on those babies when they arrive!

~~~~~~~
Also over the weekend, Brent and I finally watched Courageous.
Buy Now
 Brent got the movie from my parents for Valentine's day and we have just now found time to watch it.  It was such a good movie but nobody warned me that I would be spending most of the movie wiping snot from my face!  Not a good movie to watch if you are already alittle emotional.  Heavens!  Brent kept asking me if I would be ok.  Despite the tears and snot, it had a really good message and I might watch it again when I'm alittle more stable.
We spent the rest of the weekend hanging out with this little one who is was in rare form all weekend!
Getting ready for church.
Rockin' mismatched pjays (C likes to pick out her own pjays and she refuses to pick ones that match) and hair curlers (at her request).
She didn't make it easy for me to come to work today after being so sweet this weekend.
