Like most families, we pack in as many Christmas' as we can in just a few day.
First up, Christmas Eve with my parents.
We had a late lunch at Longhorn, then came back to our house for presents.
Throughout the day, C asked no less than a million times when we were going to open presents. I know she was excited but I may or may not have threatened that if she asked one more time she wouldn't get any. Whew.
Photo sesh before gifts.
U has this weird thing about my dad's camera. Anytime it's out, U needs to be up close and personal with it.
Let me see that camera Pap!
We have to catch him when he isn't looking.
C finally got to open presents.
As usual, U had more fun with the paper and boxes.
C was thrilled to get her doll jeep and trailer. "It's what I've been asking for!"
After playing with the toys for a bit, it was time to change into the pjays Santa and his elves left before heading to the Christmas Eve service at church.
Love me some kids in matching pjays.
After the service, Mr. Jack asked C to help him ring the church bell.
Right before bed, we sprinkled the yard with reindeer food so they would know where to stop.
C getting a look at her loot.
And for whatever reason, C was more interested in the tent that U got than the Barbie house she has been begging for.
Checking out the stocking goodies.
Opening presents from us.
After a SUPER lazy afternoon, we got cleaned up and headed to my Nanny's.
U so not feeling the selfie-stick picture.
The gift of the year goes to my aunt and uncle who got C a string!
Ha! No joke we spent a couple of hours doing different tricks with the string and looking through the book it came with. My aunt taught C a trick and she performed it for everyone a MILLION times. :)
The Nan Clan.
My cousin and U showing up in almost matching outfits.
Later that night when I was tucking C into bed, I asked her if she had a good Christmas. Her answer word for word, "YES! Santa actually brought me everything I wanted. Not like last year when I got nothing I asked for." Cue me coming unhinged on the inside. Let's keep in mind she made a list last year too but two days before Christmas made up a whole new list. I told her it was a good thing we made a list this year so Santa knew exactly what she wanted.
She tried to change her list this year a week before Christmas but I told her the only way for Santa get the change in time was to go sit on his lap. Since she is TERRIFIED of him, she replied, "Nah. I'll just wait until next Christmas." Ha!
The day after Christmas, we headed north to spend the weekend with B's family.
As soon as we walked into the door, it was present time!
After the production of opening gifts, it was time to sit back and chill and watch the kids play together for the next few days
Etta helping herself to U's snack.
Playing Christmas Bingo
C getting some Etta time.
Oh how she loves her some Etta.
We came back to reality on Monday but thankfully it was short lived because it was time to gear up for U's first birthday!
