Six

Last Sunday, March 20th, C turned 6 and to celebrate, we had a small birthday party on the 19th.

We had a Cinderella painting party for a few of her close friends.

She actually shocked me by requesting a Cinderella party because I figured she was getting out of the princess phase but I'm glad she asked.  I love me some Cinderella!

I decided I wanted the girls to paint door hangers.  I thought they would have fun painting them and it would something cute they could hang in their rooms.

Each girl got a carriage shaped cutout with their initial in the middle.  My poor nephew was the only boy at the party but I made sure he felt special.  I ordered him a prince shield cutout and he was beyond thrilled.  I failed to get a picture of it but it was so cute and I'm kicking myself for not ordering one for U.

The girls did such a good job painting and they all seemed to have a good time.

I couldn't believe how smooth it went and I was amazed that no one got paint on their clothes!  I mean that's hard for me to do when I paint.

And look how stinkin' cute the door hangers turned out!

After paint time, it was cake time.

C loved her party and I'm already trying to plan an adult painting party!  :)

In our house we have a rule that whose ever birthday it is, they get to decide the day's activities and they get to pick where we eat for their birthday dinner.

All she wanted to do all day was color and then go to Toys R Us to spend her birthday money.  And her choice for dinner?

Yep.  McDonald's.

We tried to convince her to go somewhere else but her little heart was set on McDonald's so to McDonald's we went.  We came home to have leftover cake and ice cream and she opened her gifts from us.

On Monday, I took cookies to her school for her birthday celebration.  She got to sit in the special birthday chair while her class sang to her.

Her classmates were so sweet and they all made a big deal out of it being her special day like I'm sure they do for everyone.

It's so hard to believe she is six.  I thought her fifth birthday was hard but I was equally as emotional this year as I was last year.  I blamed it on having a new baby last year but I have no excuse this year.  Clearly, I just need to pull myself together.  :)

Wow, Kace! You are the queen of the adorable birthday parties. You need to start your own party planning side business. :) PS - Please tell me you did not make that cake yourself or I will have to cry. Amelia's cake was a total homemade disaster. :)
