You know the worst feeling in the world? Going back to school/work after fall break. The Millers weren't feeling reality. Good thing we had lots of fun stuff to keep our minds off of it.
Two Wednesday's ago, our children's group at church met at Just Piddlin' for a night of hayrides, hot dogs, pumpkins and of course playing in the corn pit!
C and her friend Everly
Sweet Sunday School friends.
Their Wednesday night teacher buried them in the corn per their request. Then they begged to bury her.
God bless her. She is a TROOPER!
That following Saturday, we went to a friend's house to watch football and play. They blew up their bounce house which provided endless entertainment.
One of C's besties from daycare lives next door so we got to play with him for a few minutes.
He was headed to a Halloween party and wouldn't take off his mask. ;)
That same weekend, Uryah just wasn't feeling life. He was congested and pretty clingy.
I stayed home with him on Monday and this was how we spend most of the day...
I was 99% sure I would find a tooth later in the week and sure enough, I saw a little white poking out the other day.
Brent had his final softball game of the season last Tuesday so the kids and I just chilled. C put on a puppet show for Uryah and he was cracking up at his crazy sister.
We decided to have a picnic that night too. It was U's first one and he was so excited he barely ate which is very unlike him. C, on the other hand, had two plates which is very unlike her.
To finish off our week, C's school had their fall festival on Friday. B ended up getting sick on Friday so I hauled both kids to the festival and it was a nightmare! There were so many people jam packed down the halls and throughout the school you could barely move. Poor C is just like me and completely shuts down in large crowds. And since I was having to pack U and my arm was getting numb, we left after 30 minutes.
We went to eat afterwards and to get some ice cream to settle our nerves. ;)
Saturday morning was spent being lazy until it was time to head to a Halloween party. They painted pumpkins, played and went on a hayride.
C went as Snow White even though that's not what she is going to be for Halloween. I didn't want to take the chance of her getting her outfit dirty.
This is the second year her friend has put on the Halloween party and we love it every year. The kids have the best time!
Sunday can be summed up by looking at C's hair. WILD!
(yes that's the same outfits they wore in the other picture. Getting my money's worth. :))
B was still down for the count on Sunday which means we rolled into church on two wheels. We made it and that's all that matters.
That afternoon, we met up with C's friend, Avery, and her mom to go see Cinderella at TPAC.
C LOVES her some TPAC shows and they have yet to disappoint! The show was based more on the book than the Disney version so C keep saying 'but her dress is supposed to be blue not white.' Ha! Other than that, C was loving it! Clearly they both did.
Even though it was a FULL day, it was a fun way to kick off our week.
*Side note: People are commenting on how long C's hair is. It's her choice to have it this long. Her goal is to grow it to her bottom then cut it off above her shoulders. We will see if she actually goes that short but her hair is hers to do with. So even though I've had long hair the majority of my life, I've let her make the hair decisions within reason. She would love for it to be 10 different colors but that's where I draw the line.
