Easter Weekend

C and Brent were both off/out of school on Friday so I took half a day off so we could all go do something fun.

Our first stop was mini golf.  C has been begging everyday to go play "golf" and it was finally warm enough to go.

Then it was off to Sonic for an ice cream cone.

After a few errands, we came home to play outside but that didn't last long because someone doesn't like bugs and freaks out if one comes within a mile of her.  That someone is NOT me.

All week long C has been receiving Easter goodies in the mail from all her family that lives out of town.

Every box that comes to the door, she assumes is hers and is near meltdown mode when its not.  Spoiled much?

Saturday late afternoon, C had a birthday party for her friend Sydney.

It was an art party with stations set up with different crafts at each station.  BIG hit!  C came home with 4 crafts that she is very proud of.

On our way home we swung by my Nanny's house because she got a special delivery last week.

C has a small obsession with cows and loves when Nanny gets calves in the spring.

She also got to help Nanny with a few chores.

Sunday, we woke up to goodies that the Easter bunny had left.

On the way home from church, C enjoyed part of her gift from her Sunday School teacher.

She giggled and carried on with the pin wheel the whole way home.

A little photo session.

No family picture because my husband is the biggest party pooper EVER!  #worsethanakid

We enjoyed the rest of the day doing Easter crafts, playing outside and just relaxing as a family.

Later that afternoon, we headed to my parent's house to grub on the traditional Easter dinner...

What?  You didn't have jambalaya at your Easter gathering?  :)

My dad is a pretty amazing dude and he not only made us jambalaya but red beans and rice as well.  It was a full Cajun fest!  The only thing missing was some alligator! Maybe next year.  ;)
