The Nursery

We finally got the nursery done or at least as done as it's going to get at this point.  I have a few things to add/tweak but we are calling it good.

I wanted a vintage feel to the room because well, I love old junk and my hubs wanted a baseball themed room.  I tried to incorporate both our wants and think I did a pretty good job.  He says it could use a few more baseball items and tries to sneak a few in but I think he is pretty happy with the results as they are.

So with all that said, here is the nursery.  

This is the view from the doorway.

If you look to your left at the door, this is what you will see.

 The dresser is my great grandfather's and even though it has seen better days, I love having a family piece in the room.

I got the pegboard idea off Pinterest and it turned out just as I had hoped. 

The baskets are my favorite part for some reason.

I found this little cradle last year at a consignment store.  At the time I had no use for it but knew I couldn't pass it up.  It just so happened to fit the room perfect and works great as book storage.

So I have two Doubting Thomas' in my family who LOVE to try and second guess my crazy ideas.  B and my dad have a hard time just going along with any of my ideas without having several conversations about how it needs to be done.  Thankfully, they know it is easier to just go along with my idea than try to change my mind.  I say all that because the barn wood above the crib was one of those ideas.  They both thought I was nuts and B wasn't too convinced it would look good.  Well, after it was all said and done, both of them liked it and I LOVE how it turned out.

This little corner is one that is not completely done but I'm ok with that.

I'm so happy the way the nursery turned out!  I think I even impressed B because he normally doesn't say anything when I decorate but he has commented a few times that I did a good job.  Give myself a pat on the back.  ;)
